Have you ever wanted one remote instead of five for your entertainment system?  Tired of pointing a remote in a general direction?  Ever wonder if you could do anything more with a universal remote?  Than this particular newsletter is for you.  In the following article, we will explain the differences between 3 brand of remotes.

The picture that you see here is of the RTI T2+ remote.  All of the buttons can be programmed for whatever device you want.  There is also a programmable touch screen that you can put programmed black and white pictures on.  This remote comes with many pre-made remote codes. There are a couple of downsides to this remote.  One is that if your device is not listed, or the codes don't completely work, the only other way to get codes to the remote is to buy a learner.  The learner takes infrared codes that you send to it using your current remote, and puts them into the programming.  Also, you cannot buy this remote from any retail store.

This remote is the Pronto TSU7500 remote.  This remote is mainly a touch screen.  If you get an RF extender, you are able to use this remote without having to point it at anything in particular.  The remote then has about a 20 foot range away from the extender.  The extender has several IR connections that stick to the front of the devices you wish to control. After some programming by your dealer, you will be able to control every device hooked up to that RF extender.  Otherwise, this remote is perfect just as a universal remote.  If you don't have the codes to your old remote, you can take the old one and learn the commands directly into it.  This remote can be purchased through a dealer near you.

The remote shown here is the Philips RC9800i.  You can set up this remote to be able to control several different rooms, giving you the ability to take this with you wherever you go in your house.  You can buy this remote from many retail outlets and you can actually program this without any software.  This remote also connects to the wireless network you may have in your house.  This would give you the ability to play music that is on your computer, on your remote.  You could look at pictures, or even view videos on this remote.  You are also able to control any Windows Media Center PCs with it.

Universal remote consolidate many remotes into just one.  Most universal remotes are somewhat easy to program.  However, if you do not have the proper training for the above remotes, then you could be facing hours of programming and getting nowhere.  The helpful people at RentOurGeeks.com and Sound Electronic Solutions can help you with these problems and more.
